The Merry Widow

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
The National Theatre’s well-received production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is the proud winner of 5 Tony Awards and 7 Olivier Awards, including Best Play, Best Director, and Best Design. Mark Haddon’s best-selling novel is brought to life on stage in this stunning production, which follows the extraordinary Christopher Boone. This fifteen-year-old is unlike any other kid - he detests being touched and distrusts strangers, has never ventured beyond the end of his road, and isn’t very good at interpreting everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbour’s dog, Christopher adopts the role of detective which takes him on a journey that turns his world upside-down. Featuring a remarkable British and Irish cast, this global success is heartwarming, funny, and inspiring, and not to be missed this winter. See The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre from June 12 to June 24.

4Seasons
Discover the best in international contemporary dance with 4Seasons. This winter marks its Australian premiere, featuring a collaboration between the Expressions Dance Company and Hong Kong’s City Contemporary Dance Company. Created by artistic directors Natalie Weir and Dominic Wong as well as Helpmann Award-winning choreographer Kristina Chan, 4Seasons is 20 world-class dancers performing a world-class contemporary dance show that’s both artistic and dazzling to watch. Don’t miss it at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre from June 14 to June 22.

The Merry Widow
Two of Australia’s most popular performers, David Hobson and Natalie Christie Peluso, return to the stage this winter in a sensational new production of Franz Lehar’s ever-popular The Merry Widow. This unforgettable story follows lovers Hanna and Count Danilo, and is a suave comedy of mismatched love, inconvenient misunderstandings, and a heartwarming happy ending. Featuring colourful dance numbers, catchy tunes, and a beautiful backdrop of glitz and glamour, The Merry Widow is an absolute treat for all tastes. See The Merry Widow at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre from June 22 to June 30.
