Christmastime is one of the most exciting times to visit Brisbane, where Christmas in the City takes over with colourful lights, carolling, and festive entertainment in areas such as King George Square, Brisbane City Hall, and South Bank. Our South Bank accommodation gives you the best Christmas experience here in Brisbane, and just moments away from our family-friendly apartments there’ll also be an exciting lineup of festive shows at QPAC - book with us today.

A Christmas Carol
Everyone knows Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and this December it’s coming to the stage with its world premiere by shake & stir theatre co. Acclaimed Brisbane actor Eugene Gilfedder takes up the role of Scrooge alongside live musicians and beautiful set design, costumes, and effects. It’s the classic tale of Christmas compassion brought to the stage - don’t miss it from December 7 to December 16.

Queensland Ballet’s The Nutcracker
Christmas isn’t complete without The Nutcracker and you can see it in December with an exclusive run at QPAC. Featuring Tchaikovsky’s music in all its glory with dazzling sets and costumes, The Nutcracker is Christmas ballet for the whole family. See it performed by the renowned Queensland Ballet from December 14 to December 22.

Spirit of Christmas 2018
Spirit of Christmas is QPAC’s annual carolling concert in the Concert Hall and it’s the ultimate way to get in the festive spirit. Traditional Christmas carols will be performed live by a medley of talented performers, and you’re invited to sing along with them. Enjoy its 2018 performances on December 21 and December 22.
